Prince William County Schools (PWCS) does not provide facilitators for other districts or fund compensation for facilitators from other districts. It will be the responsibility of individual districts to provide volunteer facilitators or to arrange payment of facilitators. PWCS will continue to monitor facilitators, verify number of assignments scored, and award participants certificates.

Responsibilities
Facilitators will be responsible for evaluating and scoring each participant assignment. The assignments will be scored using the rubric included with the assignment for each lesson. Interested participants will need to contact the instructional technology coordinator for their division to determine if a facilitator is available.

Those interested in serving as facilitators should e-mail a paragraph stating their qualifications to Pat Donahue at donahuep@pwcs.edu.  Include the name and contact information of a supervisor to serve as a reference. You will be instructed to register online once approved. You will receive password-protected access to the facilitator section of the web site once you are officially registered.  Instructions on how to navigate the facilitator section of the web site will be provided.

Each facilitator will be responsible for no more than 20 participants.

Procedure
Facilitators will:

• Be assigned participants by school district and/or region.
• Receive the names, e-mail addresses, districts and lessons for each participant.
• E-mail each participant and request assignments be e-mailed to you.
• Score each lesson on the website and award "Meets or Exceeds Requirements" or "Does Not Meet Requirements" for each participant.
• Monitor discussion boards to ensure participation in the Academy.
